Bernolákovo is a small settlement between Ivanka on the Danube and Senec, on the border of the southern end of the Trnava hills and the Danube plain, near the Cierna voda stream. The area is located in the eastern part of the town. In the developed zone there is currently a housing estate, which provides affordable living, but often at the expense of quality.
The plots are often small with minimal privacy and there is a disconnection of the newest development from the existing Structure. The development is not adjacent to anything and the streets are difficult to navigate. Precisely from the weaknesses of the settlement an effort has been made to add as many interactive places as possible, which would improve life and especially keep people in the town. In the design, the aim was to create a residential area with plenty of community spaces and to develop activities and functions that would keep people in the village so that they would not be forced to travel to neighbouring towns and cities. The aim was also to integrate family and residential development with the use of ecological principles in the form of encouraging small-scale agriculture and the creation of growing areas as well as communal community gardens, thereby promoting food and economic self-sufficiency.

The main "pillars" of the proposal are considered to be the support of the community in the neighbourhoods as well as the creation of common spaces and the use of the immediate proximity of nature and the water feature - the Black Water stream. It was the water feature Cierna voda that inspired the connection to the Strkovka water feature, which is currently unused but has great potential. The whole connection has been strengthened by the completion of a cycle path, which is connected to the existing one, along which there is also a green route, which is also a secondary compositional line. The green route is connected to the recreational area at Cierna Voda and along the whole route various public, semi-private gardens as well as recreational areas and playgrounds are connected to it. The central space of the green route is the micro-urban area, which has a recreational character and at the same time connects the composition lines.
The microsquare is also a capture point on the green route and in the horizontal line it leads to the proposed main square, which is the central space of our main compositional line. On this main line, as a contrast to the green recreation route, community spaces have been created and various job opportunities have been offered to the residents. The square was created to bring the community together by creating a variety of activities that would attract all ages from the village.
